Shoot’m Stickman Game Review

There are no levels or any real action to speak of in Shoot’m. There is a gun. There is a stick. And there is an objective: shoot the stick. Stick does not die. Stick does bleed when you hit him, but he is forever invincible against even the most advanced weapons and their priciest upgrades. There are no levels or advancement in this game, but it is far too much fun just shooting and acrobatic little Stick.
To begin with, your weapon is a simple pistol. Small but effective. Each time you score a hit on the Stick, he bleeds and you have money added to your stash. You can use this money to buy upgrades from the upgrade tab at the bottom of your screen at any time during the game. As well as your initial pistol, you are given a “hand” weapon choice from the beginning as well. You can use the hand to strange, punch, and slap the Stick all around the screen.
A “Nicolas Cage Lord of War” Army of Weapons
When you get enough money in your account, you can begin to purchase upgrades for your weapon and entirely new weapons altogether. Each weapon has two upgrades. Once you upgrade a weapon, you cannot downgrade again. You are stuck with it.
In addition to the pistol, there are several types of firearms to choose from to be the Stick Death Machine. There are shotguns, sniper rifles, grenades, and even flamethrowers, if you have the money to buy one. In addition to the standard video game weapons, there are special weapons including the temperature weapon. This can be used to freeze the stick in place in order to score a bunch of hits without having to worry about him jumping all about and avoiding your bullets. You can thaw the Stick out with the flamethrower.
Shoot’m won’t give you much reward for your efforts at shooting at a tedious little drawing. The only thing there is to do in this game is to shoot down at the Stick and hope to hit his 2-D ass. After a while, this game gets repetitive, but you will want to continue just so you can get your hands on that coveted flamethrower. While not the most involved or most addictive game, Shoot’m will get you through those few-minute-long boredom spells.
